Not worth the wait and money. This place is set up as a buffet but the selection is very limited. The food available was cold and very bland. The pozole had little to no flavor. The chilaquiles were salty and soggy. I also found some egg shells on my eggs. Service was not good. The service not being good did not hold me back from leaving a decent tip. The waittress only checked up on us one time after seating us down and did not offer any other options for ordering as we had seen other people order other items not on the buffet. Overall the experience was not good. If anything the place can learn something from some of the reviews I am now seeing. This place was recommended and hyped up by a family member but did not live up to the expectation. I have included a photo of the egg shells in the egg. Hi Abel, We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. That said, some of what you described does not reflect the standards we operate under daily. Our buffet is prepared fresh and monitored consistently throughout service, especially during peak hours. Temperature and flavor are priorities for us, and many guests visit specifically for those items you mentioned. Regarding the egg shells — that is absolutely not acceptable, and we will review this with our kitchen team immediately. Attention to detail matters. As for service, our staff is trained to explain both buffet and additional menu options. If that was not clearly communicated, we will address it internally. We understand that not every concept is for everyone, but we stand behind the quality and experience we provide to the large number of guests who continue to support us. We appreciate you giving us a try. — El Mañanero

My wife and I recently visited El Mañanero for their breakfast buffet, and it was an incredible discovery. It really felt like a fancy establishment hidden in a normal space; the interior is upscale and modern, elevating the entire dining experience far beyond a typical buffet. The food was simply outstanding, so delicious that I saw multiple people going back for seconds and thirds. The eggs had just been emptied out prior to taking a picture, that's how popular they are! We really enjoyed the variety, from the perfectly seasoned red and green chilaquiles to the savory chorizo con papas and tender shredded meat. The station with fresh fruit and conchas was the perfect sweet finish to the meal. Beyond the food, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was wonderful—engaging, attentive, and incredibly friendly throughout our visit. The management team also deserves a shout-out for being relaxed and super chill; they even helped me get some great shots of the food. It is clear that they care about their customers and take pride in their restaurant. If you are looking for a fantastic Mexican breakfast spot that feels like a hidden gem, I highly recommend giving El Mañanero a try.
