Hungry after swimming, we wanted a coffee and something light to eat. It was a hot day, about 13h, and not packed. Maybe 4-5 tables outside were occupied, no one was inside, except the 4-5 staff who were hanging out and not coming out to take our order!!

So I went inside and ordered at the counter. A cinnamon roll from the counter display and an ensaladilla from the menu with a cafe con leche and a cortado. I went back outside and we waited. And waited!!!

Eventually our coffees came out. Peering into the restaurant, we saw one server sitting at the counter, two others were talking. Only one was slowly walking around the tables outside. The servers were not attending to guests and looked completely bored. The ensaladilla came out. No cinnamon roll. My husband had to go inside again to ask for it.

Clearly no management was on duty to monitor or train staff. The food was good once we ended up with it.

We've both worked in and managed cafes and restaurants and know how service is supposed to be. There was no service here.

We didn't complain, just observed, slightly shocked at how bad and bored the servers were. At the end I went to the restroom. There was no paper in the women's bathroom. I came out and told a server. And waited. Nothing. I went to the men's room to steal paper. No one ever came to attend to the women's room. Again, no response.

This seems like a new place. It's in a great location. They need to get it together to survive. I rarely leave reviews, but feel management needs to see this. We're not tourists and will avoid this place in the future. There are too many better places around.
