Calling all Carleton Place Catholics. The fish tacos at El Patcho’s are sublime even heavenly. No meat on Fridays! Don’t settle for Capt. High Liner. This is the good stuff. Fantastic service too.

We showed up just before they closed today and were instantly blown away — not just by the food, but by the warmth and kindness of the owner. He welcomed our order without hesitation with a bright smile.... and even offered us drinks on the house. That level of hospitality & generosity are rare these days and truly unforgettable. Now, let's talk about the food — WOW. We tried the brisket taco, chicken, shrimp, and ground beef, kids chicken quesadillas plus a corn salad and every single bite was vibrant, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Each taco had its own personality, perfectly balanced with rich fillings and toppings that tasted 100% homemade and full of love. The brisket? Melt-in-your-mouth tender. The shrimp?
