We were in the restaurant on November 23rd, 2024 after it was recommended to us. We had a reservation for 10:30 p.m. When we arrived at the restaurant on time, the entrance area was completely overcrowded. Nevertheless, we reported directly to reception and were told that we should just wait for the table. After half an hour and several complaints, we were seated at the table (11 p.m.). Then it took another half hour and repeated complaints until we finally had water on the table and our order was taken. The starters and side dishes are average and therefore a bit overpriced. The meat is excellent and of the highest standard. However, I am very disappointed with the restaurant. A restaurant in this price range and that wants to have an exclusive reputation cannot afford such a service. The restaurant manager only gave a short apology and an justification that there was a lot going on that day. Very disappointing. Bad experience at El Porteño • Arena Restaurant! During a dinner with friends, my valuable bag was stolen. I immediately asked the staff to look at the security cameras to understand what had happened, but I was told that the cameras were faulty. In the following days I insisted several times to view the videos, but the excuses continued: first they told me that the cameras were not available, then that the system was out of order, and so on. It is unacceptable that a restaurant of this type does not have a functioning security system, or worse, that it tries to hide the truth from customers. My experience was not only disappointing, but also frustrating. I strongly advise against this restaurant to anyone who wants to dine in a safe and well-managed place.
