Holy smokes, my advice is to come hungry. The food was excellent, possibly the best I’ve had. Very nice restaurant and the service was 5 star too. Portions were very generous and the beer ice cold. Our first visit but it won’t be our last. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chips and Salsa, Burrito Aztecs Shrimp Chicken Rice & Beans Cheese Sauce, Two Beef Enchiladas with Rice and Beans

I enjoy their generous salsa bar. Their meal is great and filling especially after a busy day working outside and possibly hiking. I sometimes enjoy a drink other than water. I enjoy trying different meals. The chef always makes a decent, good meal. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Summer 2025-We miss you El Ranchero! Glad to see you making progress on repairs. God bless you & we look forward to our next visit. One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. Food and staff consistently great. Laid-back family atmosphere, easy parking in charming downtown Spruce Pine.
