On our way back from Mount Teide we stopped at Restaurante El Rancho. The wonderful waitress showed us to our table inside but you could sit outside also. We had the best meal of our trip to Tenerife. The portions were very generous and the dishes were so tasty. We had the chicken in salmorejo sauce and the sole. Both were delicious but the chicken was sensational. We also had some salad, Morcilla sweet sausage, chips and bread with some red and green Mojo sauce, the best we've tasted on holiday. Overall the bill came to around €47 with a couple of drinks. Lovely service, a great meal with an outstanding view. If you are going to or from Mount Teide stop here, you won't regret it. We stopped here while on a trip with tiede by night. Had a nice local coffee alcoholic here called a barraceta. The staff are really friendly. Interesting and quirky décor. Price per person: €10–20
