El Rincón de Domi is exactly the kind of small, locally owned place you could easily drive past if you weren’t paying attention, but it is absolutely worth stopping for. Sergio, the owner, greeted us and personally took care of us. We arrived around 6:30 p.m. and had the quiet, comfortable restaurant to ourselves, which made it feel like we were eating at a friend’s house. We ordered two arroz con pollo meals and a burrito to go. The food came out quickly, the portions were generous, and everything had excellent flavor. This is a simple, welcoming mom-and-pop spot with great food and personal service. We really enjoyed our experience and definitely recommend giving it a try. We love the fruit stand outside and always bring our drinking coconut inside for our meals. They make decent traditional food and not too costly. Except a chicken empanadas I had, which was a bit dry. But still the chicken tasted nice. Price per person: ₡5,000–10,000 Vegetarian options: Yes
