Based on previous reviews, we ordered food from El San Marcos Mexican Restaurant through Door Dash the other day. The order consisted of one combination plate of cheese enchiladas, one combination plate of chicken enchiladas, a side of boiled beans, and a side of chips and salsa. The good was that the Door Dash driver was very quick and did not get lost. Sadly, it was all downhill from there. The bad news was the food - everything about the food. First, both entrees felt as though they had just been taken out of the refrigerator. The food was COLD. Everything down to the sauce that covered the enchiladas was cold. Second, the cheese inside the cheese enchaladas looked and tasted like extra dry cold ricotta cheese. You couldn't choke this stuff down if you wanted to. Second, the rice was painfully overcooked, mushy, and of course cold. The boiled beans (though finally somewhat warm) were mush and completely unseasoned and bland. Third, the chips appeared to be just store bought flour tortillas cut up and thrown into a fryer. The chips were well overcooked with the taste and smell of dirty oil. Finally, the salsa (if you can call it that) tasted like tap water with a dash of tomato sauce for color and a dash of some unknown store bought sauce. I hate to leave a bad review. However, after spending roughly $50 for food that ended up in the trash I feel a bit of honesty is warranted.
