The food is excellent for take out but the staff is disrespectful. One of the women there slipped my then man her phone number in spite of me going with him all of the time, I belive her name is Anna. The owner needs to talk to her staff about flirting with customers especially if they see that they have a partner Do not let your man go there to pick up food without you. El Sol Del Caribe makes me wish I lived closer to Jersey City. I ordered the beef stew with the rice with black beans. Thinking about it now is making my mouth water. It was delicious, well-portioned, and very reasonably priced. I can't wait to try more of their food. I also had a beef empanada. It was crispy, so flavorful, and not too oily. My two friends who do live in Jersey City introduced me to this restaurant, and they enjoy eating from here. So I'm sure that means it's consistently good.
