If you have never tried Mexican cuisine, you should order a table at this restaurant. At EL Torito Taqueria y mas, you may order tasty enchiladas, carnitas and mexican tacos. Most guests recommend trying good ice cream, churros and flans. Margaritas are delicious, try them. If you're the great americano fan, you may enjoy this place.
At this spot, you can order dishes as a takeout. The staff is said to be nice here. The terrific service shows a high level of quality at this restaurant. Many guests find that prices are affordable for what you receive. The beautiful decor and calm atmosphere let visitors feel relaxed here. While they do not open until 9am, this is a secret spot for Breakfast burrito's! I highly recommend the Carnitas breakfast burrito which comes in 2 sizes for $6 or $10. Also the habanero salsa is not messing around... SPICY! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ordered take out. Three item combo of Chicken Enchilada, Beef Enchilada, Chicken Hard Taco. Comes with beans and rice. My order came in a huge aluminum catering container. Very wasteful and the food was average at best. Scratched this one off my list. Service: Take out Food: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Three things you need to know about El Torito Taqueria y Mas: 1. Access is only marginal - you can't access it from Union Blvd southbound, only from Union Blvd northbound. If you're coming southbound, go a block farther south to Cedar Dr, make a legal U-turn, and come back to El Torito northbound. 2. Parking isn't great, but there is parking at both the north and the south end of the strip mall, so between them, hopefully you can find a parking space. The lot to the north is somewhat bigger than the lot to the south and is immediately adjacent to El Torito. 3. Don't be put off by the marginal access and parking. Persevere - it's not that bad, and it will be worth it when you find your way through the door. Don't forget to check in on Yelp - I assume they still have a penny house margarita offer when you do. Don't miss the little salsa bar when your food arrives - it's halfway through the restaurant toward the back - lots of good stuff, and as with bacon, everything is better slathered in fresh salsa. Menu is pretty typical Tex-Mex with the exception of the Pregnant Donkey (flour tortilla filled with chile relleno, rice and beans, topped with melted cheese and green chili) - of course, I had to order the Pregnant Donkey. Several vegan options - not for me, thank you - but there for those so inclined. Also, they open at 7:30 am and serve breakfast. El Torito Taqueria y Mas is still fairly new so everything is fresh, bright, colorful and clean. Food is good, service is gracious and attentive, and prices are what you would expect. Solidly good, better than average - nice people working hard but at a bit of a disadvantage based on access and parking, so help them out and give them a try. It really isn't that complicated and it's worth it when you do.
