However, on Dec28, I asked Sister Myla, the mother superior about their comments on lechon. Here’s what they said :
1) Skin no longer crispy
2) The meat was smelly
3) All of the above maybe because lechon is a leftover from Dec25.
I immediately complained about this to Renz of Elars. He said Customer Service Mgr was out for holidays & will get back to me on Jan3. Shortly after, the mgr, Jem
called to say that the lechon should been returned immediately so it can be replaced - as it was just on CONSIGNMENT ! How can the nuns do this when its just a gift & they dont know the Vendor ? They were surprised to learn that it came Elars ! They know, like most of us that ELARS is known for good LECHONS !
What would have happened if the MCJ nuns got sick from eating lechon? To save it, they cooked it as sinigang ?
I would caution ELARS lechon buyers, pick up orders yourselves to see the actual product. It may just be another CONSIGNMENT ?
I will NEVER order from
ELARS again ! They dont stand by their product ?
Unhappy buyer, Mrs Cynthia Henson
