1. There was hair on my fiancès plate as we were eating the bread basket (i was willing to let this slip) but then there was hair too on my table napkin...hmmm... fine, it could have come from anywhere so let's let it go...
2. I got a side order of Mushroom Truffle Risotto with my steak, WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT WAS UNDERCOOKED?! and i've had very good risotto from countless other places so I do know what Al Dente vs. undercooked tastes like. Don't me ?
3. I was hoping the mashed potatoes would be buttery, don't get me wrong theirs had VERY good texture, but OMG it was so bland!
4. Lastly and probably the MOST disappointing of all, I was willing to let all of this go but the USDA Ribeye steak...the main course... was ridiculously bland! I was fighting the urge to be rude and not ask for salt but I do not exaggerate when I say it really tasted blah. Very much disappointed it was as if the meat was just defrosted upon ordering.
I really had high hopes for Elbert's coz I heard a lot of good reviews about it. An isolated case maybe? Well it should'nt have happened. We paid a hefty price to dine there. For the amount we paid, we should've just gone to Spiral instead. Sad to say we won't be going back.
