The place and the service is very nice. However, the tea was disappointing. We bought a package with three different kinds of tea coins. Two of them were just ok, and one was absolutely terrible, it tasted fishy and bitter.

Thank you for the feedback. It sounds like the tea shop you purchased are Puerh teas. The teas you purchased are actually supposed to have that unique fishy and mushroom earthy flavor. My sister booked a tea party for six at Elden Street Tea Shop (six is the minimum), and we had such a lovely time! The shop itself is small with limited seating, but it’s absolutely charming - decorated with delicate china and glassware, so probably best for adults or closely supervised children. We were served freshly baked scones with Berkshire butter, which was a standout because the butter alone takes over 12 hours to make and was absolutely delicious. Along with that, we had a nice assortment of tea sandwiches and macarons in boxed lunches. My nieces especially enjoyed the experience, sipping on their "unicorn tea" and feeling very fancy. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole afternoon feel special. Highly recommend for a unique, intimate gathering or celebration!
