I had the best meal of my entire Crete trip here. And the most beautiful view ever! Perfect sunset spot. I feel I stumbled upon such a gem. I had the goat and artichoke with lemon sauce and it was a 10/10. We have been to iraklio, rethymno, matala, eaten wonderful food in all of these places but this was my favorite. It was made with love and expertise by whoever made it. Highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Lovely traditional style taverna amidst the bustling Matala scene. We had a lunchtime snack and drinks overlooking the famous caves, lovely breeze, great food and drinks. Lovely. Chatted with the friendly owner a bit about the caves and the big jumps people do, he did it back in the day lol. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very nice food, you can see it's made by locals with good old recipes. Also the waiter was nice and friendly. If you want to eat as you would at your grandma's, Eleni is the place to visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
