The place seemed super cute! I honestly wish we couldve experienced it, but unfortunately we had a bad experience upon entering. We were all turned down because one girl in our party had a vertical ID from out of state, and also all of our IDs were heavily inspected because we were from all out of state (students). We did respect the rule and sat down to wait for an uber towards the exit and was then approached again by the same server who said “don’t try to order drinks, thank you” in a condescending tone. The whole experience was very odd, and I wish we had a better first impression.

In a courtyard amongst an eclectic gathering of nostalgic signs, archaic devices, and gimmicky statues, you’ll enjoy amazing Mexican food in a unique and quirky environment. Entering from the far left of the complex, you’ll find a food truck behind the walls. And this is what Elephant Ranch is all about. I almost never order quesadillas. I’m a traditionalist who steers clear of Tex-Mex. But when the lady inside the truck tells you the Al Pastor Quesadilla is the best thing they serve, you get it and you don’t ask questions! And it was soooo delicious! Beautifully melted pepper jack cheese entertains your taste buds. Spicy green chiles delight your senses. Marinated pork is found in every bite. And the homemade tortillas practically melt in your mouth. Elephant Ranch an oasis, a marvelous stop after 115 miles on eastbound Highway 70 without a single restaurant on the highway!
