We recently visited Elephant Shoe in Valletta for brunch, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The staff were absolutely fantastic—so cheerful, friendly, and attentive. It’s always nice when a place makes you feel genuinely welcome, and the free water offered at each table was a thoughtful touch that added to the excellent service. I opted for the "Still Smashed" brunch dish, and it was perfection on a plate. The combination of smashed avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, honey-chilli oil, and walnuts created such a unique and delicious flavor. The poached eggs were cooked just right, and the grilled halloumi added a great texture to the dish. All of this served on sourdough bread made it a truly hearty and satisfying meal. Overall, the food was outstanding, the ambiance was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff really made our visit extra special. I can't recommend Elephant Shoe enough—whether you're a local or visiting Valletta, this place is a must-try for a delightful brunch! We visited yesterday for lunch. This place has a lovely welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. The staff are friendly and I love that there are games to play while we wait for our food, although this wasn't long as service was quick. Some good vegan and vegetarian options on the menu which can sometimes be tricky in Valletta. They also had gluten free items available. The restaurant is clean and looks lovely inside. Would definitely visit again next time I am nearby! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Vegan

Our brunch here was delightful- we found the servers to all be happy to help and very friendly, the decor and vibe super fun, and the food was excellent. I adored how many vegan options they had and loved the scrambled tofu/chickpea dish I ordered..! They have an array of plant milks too for drinks and my chai latte was one of the best I had in Malta (get it with coconut milk- that’s always delicious). Good coffee too :) And awesome value for money- such generous portions. Highly recommend checking this place out- it’s right by Upper Barraka too so a great starting point for a day of site seeing in Valetta.
