Many dishes in winter tend to have a overly richness and heaviness. Each dish we had contained a bright element that was very refreshing and light. There was also a lot of nostalgia in many dishes that reminded us of things like Thanksgiving dinner, hot dogs, the apple oatmeal we'd eat as children. It's always great having that slight connection to a memory when eating a dish in my opinion. The service staff were very attentive, polite, and knowledgeable. The small but intimate restaurant felt spacious and as if you're entering a different time space. The kitchen, though small, worked quietly but quick. We're very grateful to be able to dine here before they close. Can't wait to see how they restructure their restaurant. After reading about genius Chef Iliana Regan, I had the biggest crush on her and was her instant fan girl. I came in for the Wes Anderson inspired menu this March, and got to meet Chef Regan. She was so nice and humble. Dinner was INCREDIBLE! Check out the photo. How absolutely beautiful. I just bought tickets for her Zombie Apocalypse Inspired Pop-up at The Junkyard, described as a "One off pop-up in a bonafide Junk Yard in the middle of NoWhere, Indiana." I LOVE ELIZABETH RESTAURANT SOOOOO MUCH! Get some tickets before they sell out.
