I dropped in for a meal and found the atmosphere to be quite lively, which was a nice change of pace. The crust on the pizza had that perfect crispy texture you look for in wood-fired ovens, though I felt the toppings could have been a bit more generous for the price point. The service was steady, and while nothing was necessarily wrong, it just didn't quite leave that lasting impression that makes me want to become a regular. It's a decent enough choice if you are in the area and craving a quick slice, but probably not somewhere I would go out of my way for specifically Ella's Wood Fired Kitchen. I have been disappointed with people's recommendations on restaurants -- but they got this one right. I don't go out for pizza; I don' go out for sandwiches. I go to experience menu items that are so hard to find outside of Boston. I truly appreciate being able to make a reservation. I can have anchovies in my Caesar salad! Food was great; service was great, and my well-behaved grandchildren enjoyed it as well.
