Very good quality of meat. I would have expected more various vegetables with Cornish hen but it was good.
Just amazing. Eggplant appetizer and humus to share, along with salmon, lamb shank and steak all an experience to come back for. Definitely we will be back.
On my last visit to Toronto my wife and I were staying at the Chelsea Hotel and noticed a quaint restaurant across the street named The Elm Tree Restaurant, and being our last night we decided to dine there. This in my opinion was the best part of our trip. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful in explaining their great Mediterranean fare. The dining room where we were seated was tastefully decorated with a relaxing atmosphere as well. We started off by sharing the Ricotta & Dukkah Dip with warm pita bread and also tried the Roasted Beets. Both dishes were absolutely fabulous. For our main course I ordered the Lamb Shank which was ever so tender and tasty served over chick peas. This was truly a heavenly treat. My wife chose the Salmon with a crispy top and flaky interior served on a bed of lentils. She said that this was one of the best pieces of salmon that she had ever been served. We finished the meal with two hot Americano coffees. All of the portions were exceedingly generous and the prices were very fair. When I visit Toronto in the future, I will be sure to return to The Elm Tree Restaurant and I cannot wait to try some of their other menu choices, which I’m sure must be delicious also.
