A wonderful traditional experience with great food and lovely service! We arrived as a group of 6 around 5:00 PM and were seated right away. The seating is traditional—cushions on the floor. It caught us a bit off guard, but when some of us found it hard to sit comfortably, the owner thoughtfully provided small stools to help us out. The menu is entirely in Japanese and uses a font that Google Lens struggles to translate, but we still managed to figure out what they had to offer. The staff was incredibly polite, patient, and accommodating to all our requests, despite the language barrier. The dishes were good and the portions were larger than we expected. Most of the food was amazingly delicious! A small part of the meal lacked a bit of flavor or salt for our personal taste, but overall we were very satisfied. The biggest surprise was the bill: a full meal for 6 people, including appetizers and drinks, cost us less than 10,000 yen!
