En is a wonderful place. As a non-Japanese resident, I found it difficult and scary to find an izakaya to enjoy. But the staff at En are so extremely welcoming and kind! The owner smokes his own bacon, sausages and cheese, a platter he shared with us at no extra cost! This is the first izakaya I've been to in Japan and it's extremely special. Traditional, cozy, friendly. The food is great and there are plenty of drinks! I've been so honoured to enjoy two meals at En and they won't be my last!
