Come hungry, come with friends. We didn't have to wait long for a party of 4 around dinner time. Probably ~15 minutes. What we ordered: Yaki Onigiri 2pcs ($7) x2 -- nice crispy exterior Grilled Beef Tongue ($10.50) -- surprisingly very soft and yummy. Teba karaage ($8.50) -- average Mochi cheese rolls ($7.50) -- fried spring roll with mochi and cheese. Didn't really taste the mochi just cheese. Still good though. Stir fried clam noodles ($14) -- the noodles were overcooked, not sure if that's what they were going for... would like with a bit more chew. Clams were good. Overall a tad bit salty. Seafood Okonomiyaki ($13) -- great size, good flavor. I liked it. Grilled Squid ($9.50) -- chewy texture and well seasoned. My friends enjoyed it. Nankotsu (fried chicken cartilage) ($8) -- loved it Scallop Croquette 3pcs ($9) -- SO GOOD. Salmon Sashimi 9pcs ($14) -- tasted fresh! Love salmon. I wanted more! Great attentive staff. Pleasant dining experience. Good place for large groups to share food. Worth a try!

This is my second visit (I don't live in the Bay Area) so access to Japanese home cooking options like okonomiyaki is a rare treat. En Japanese Tapas a wonderful selection of simple and delicious as well complex and exciting small plates... And entrees (perfect for sharing). They also have an extensive sake list.

Both of experiences at En have been consistently great. The staff is attentive and kind. I will be back again. And again... And again...!
