A really nice family-owned spot, and you can feel that with the warm service they provide. This Basil-Garlic pizza was exceptional. Ernie's was our last stop during our little self-orchestrated pizza tour around Connecticut and WE ARE SO HAPPY IT WAS! Ernie's is so underrated!!! We wanted to try different pizzas and they informed us we could do 1 pizza with different toppings. They were closing soon, so I'm unsure if this was a usual thing or just a "before closing down the kitchen thing" but I'm happy they were able to do it. The pizza was cooked perfectly. Everything tasted great and the service was amazing. Top Notch, Old Fashioned, Incredibly Authentic. Ernie's Pizzeria is some of the best pizza in the New Haven area!
