Having seen Holy Corners District, it's time to have a rest at this bar. The Mediterranean cuisine is on the menu at Esca. Eating nicely cooked branzino, wagyu steaks and beet salads is a pleasant experience here. Try good gelato, almond dessert and tiramisu. Try the delicious wine, limoncello or negroni offered here. According to the guests' opinions, bread drink is great.
Select between indoor and outdoor seating. The nice staff at this place can demonstrate how much they value their guests. The professional service is something these restaurateurs care about. Affordable prices are to be expected at this spot. The fine decor and comfortable atmosphere let clients feel relaxed here. Google users are quite generous with this bar: it was granted 4.5 stars.

I was really looking forward to dining in this place, so I will start by highlighting the positive: the restaurant is beautifully designed, the atmosphere is lovely. We arrived early for our reservation and, despite a small bit of confusion about where we should wait, everyone was friendly. The cocktails were also very good. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming, and there is nothing worse than paying over $200 for a meal and regretting the experience. The aubergine dish (La Escalivada) is a Catalan dish which I'm familiar with as my sister lives in the Catalonian region and I have been fortunate to be exposed to their wonderful cuisine for over 2 decades. So when I saw it on the menu listed at $20+ I thought they would add an inventive twist to it as it is the simplest dish to make. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Not a single drop of olive oil or salt. You are paying $20+ for a very flavourless and underwhelming dish. The octopus dish and the scallops were decent. The mortadella dish was another fairly basic one. Unfortunately, this meal just didn't stand out, particularly in a city like St. Louis, where there are so many restaurants offering exceptional food. The restaurant has a lot of potential, and the beautiful setting certainly helps create the right expectations. Unfortunately, for us, the food didn't meet them. I would not return based on this experience, but I hope they take the opportunity to really elevate the food. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: $80–90
