From the US, group of 6 of us, amazing tasting menu greeted us here upon return to France. Inventive and savory and unreal how impressive the food is from a small intimate place. Hard to believe these two lovely people can produce an evening like this. Cannot recommend highly enough Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

From start to finish our experience was stunning. We’ve eaten in many so-called high-end restaurants, some with stars, some without; but never have we eaten anywhere where the passion and hard work of the owners has been so apparent on the plate. Don’t even think about questioning the size of the dishes, the questionable choice of music (fine for us but then we are of an age such that we can remember it when it was in the charts) or the price; just focus on the extraordinary balance of textures and flavours combined with exceptional ingredients. Highlights for us were many but to pick out just a few we’d say lemon sorbet on foie gras, mushroom ice cream and cook-your-own scallops were particularly special. Each and every dish displayed an incredible understanding of how and why certain flavours and textures compliment each other so well in such a clever way; we truly could appreciate the skill and effort that went into every bite. And how delightfully refreshing it was to hear the owner’s reply, after we suggested they could charge more, that they would rather keep prices at a level where many more diners can afford to enjoy what they do. An exceptional place! Renovated and tastefully decorated, Eskemm, which means exchange in Breton, lives up to its name. The chef transports you on each plate with modern, comforting and surprising cuisine. On the service side you will find delicious cocktails. In addition to being talented, Thibault & Camille are welcoming, smiling and caring. I strongly advise you to go and spend a lovely evening there.
