Beautiful Dining Experience! After reading a few mixed recent reviews, we were incredibly impressed with our experience at Essence.Due to an unexpected road closure near the Intercontinental roundabout, we were significantly delayed. I called the reservation department ahead of time, and the lady handling the bookings was polite, understanding, and accommodating. When we finally arrived, they welcomed us warmly and escorted us straight to our table in the downstairs dining area.The ambiance downstairs is stunning. The decor is elegant and beautifully elevated by a live pianist playing in the background. It created the perfect, relaxed atmosphere for dinner and conversation. The food and drinks were exceptional. My dad wanted a local flavour and opted for the Oxtail, which he absolutely loved, clearing his plate and rating it a 10 out of 10. I enjoyed the perfectly prepared chicken thighs paired with a glass of Chardonnay. The service from our waitress and the floor management was attentive, smooth, and seamless throughout the night.Before leaving, we also checked out the lounge area upstairs, which has a cool vibe . If you are looking for a beautiful, well managed dinner venue in Lusaka, the downstairs dining room is an absolute must visit. I recommend Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The ambience was pleasant with a piano that hinted at occasional live music. The oxtail with rice was disappointing, it lacked flavor. At ZMW420, I felt it wasn't value for money. Meal type: Lunch Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
