A warm and friendly pub with exceptionally nice staff (even to the point where the manager has checked that I am getting home all right - I was very touched), the Essex Arms is also notable for its monthly karaoke nights. The host, Gary Pryce, is a true professional, getting as many singers on as humanly possible, while giving supportive encouragement to anyone who has felt a bit nervous. Come on down and join the fun!
