After walking by a few times during the week, we booked for the last night of our holiday and couldn’t be happier that we did. The manager was wonderful and alongside all of her staff, extremely friendly and warm. Watching the kitchen team work in full view of the restaurant is very interesting, and the food was stunning and innovative. We will be recommending this to everyone we know who’s going to Porto. A simply brilliant restaurant, top to bottom. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner

We had the tasting menu at Estômago tonight and it was genuinely one of the best food experiences we've had during our time in Porto. Neither of us eats pork, and there were a couple of elements in the tasting menu that we couldn't have, including one dish containing pork and another containing gelatine. What really stood out was how accommodating the hosts were. They adapted the dishes for us without ever making us feel like we were being difficult or that our dietary requirements were an inconvenience. Everything was handled so naturally and relaxedly, which made a big difference to the evening. The food itself was just amazing. Every course was brought out with an explanation of the ingredients and what we were eating, which really added to the experience. There was so much creativity in the dishes, with some really interesting combinations and flavours, but everything still felt beautifully balanced. Something only a great chef can accomplish. Our standout dishes were the cuttlefish and shrimp rice and the cured fish, both were absolutely fantastic and are dishes we'll be talking about for a while. The service deserves a special mention too. Everyone was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what they were doing. It never felt rushed or overly formal; it was relaxed, welcoming and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, with beautiful simple decor which gives you a cosy, intimate feel. The open plan kitchen, gives you what I can only describe as a great view of artists at work. All of this makes it feel special without being pretentious, which is exactly what you want from this kind of dining experience. The tasting menu turned dinner into much more than simply going out for a meal, it was a proper food experience, one that didn’t break the bank, and one we'll remember from our trip to Porto. Thank you to everyone who helped make our night with you, one to remember! Absolutely recommend Estômago. If you're in Porto and looking for somewhere a little different, book the tasting menu. You won't regret it. Price per person: €50+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
