Once the promenade around the Imam Jaafar Sadegh Mosque is over, visit Exit Cafe. It's worth coming to this cafe because of good Caesar salads, pesto pasta and cheese salads. The cooks here prepare tasty chocolate cakes, cheesecakes and apple pie. It's a must to try great iced latte or delicious chocolate frappe when visiting Exit Cafe.
The cosy atmosphere of this place makes visitors feel relaxed and have a good time. The nice staff welcomes guests all year round. The cool service is something these restaurateurs care about. Exit Café is one of the oldest cafes in Tehran. I remember hearing its name back when I was a teenager, whenever we wanted to step into the strange and fascinating world of Tehran after school. Despite that, I never visited it until years later, when I finally went there one night with a group of friends. One of the strangest feelings I had about the place was that it seemed like nothing had changed from the way it had always been described to me—still the same dark, romantic atmosphere of an old café. The loud sound of American jazz music, the crowded space, and a simple counter all felt familiar. Even the menu reminded me of the old café menus: Alfredo pasta, chips and cheese, and milkshakes. Because of how busy it gets, this café is a good spot to meet friends—especially if you’re in a large group and enjoy some lively company. I ordered pesto, but I wasn’t too satisfied with it since it lacked salt, and the menu was relatively pricey. In summary, if you’re looking for an old-school café with the vibe of early 2010s Tehran—dark, cozy, and nostalgic—this place might not be a bad choice.
