Here’s a polished version of your review that keeps your strong negative opinion while making it more structured, credible, and impactful: ⸻ – One of the Most Disappointing Michelin Experiences I’ve Ever Had I genuinely do not understand how Restaurant Facil holds two Michelin stars. Having dined at many Michelin-starred restaurants, this was easily one of the most underwhelming experiences I’ve had. The problems started with the service. While one or two servers were genuinely warm and professional, the majority came across as cold, unengaged, and uninterested in communicating. Basic English seemed to be a challenge for several members of the team, making it difficult for them to explain the dishes. At this level, every course should be introduced with confidence and enthusiasm. Instead, it often felt awkward and uninformed. Even before arriving, there were signs that attention to detail was lacking. On the day of our reservation, Google Maps listed the restaurant as “Temporarily Closed.” For a two-Michelin-star establishment, this is the sort of basic operational detail that should never be overlooked. When I mentioned it to the staff, my feedback was simply brushed aside, reflecting an unfortunate lack of care. As for the food, it was astonishingly ordinary. There was nothing memorable, innovative, or technically impressive about most of the menu. It felt like standard Western cuisine without any creativity or ambition. Rather than highlighting the quality of the ingredients, many dishes were excessively salty, masking their natural flavours with seasoning. I kept waiting for a course that would justify the restaurant’s reputation, but it never came. The only exception was the dessert course. Here, the kitchen finally showed some imagination, with creative presentations and a touch of theatricality. Unfortunately, one good dessert course cannot redeem an otherwise forgettable meal. The dining environment also left much to be desired. The restaurant features a retractable roof, which is undoubtedly beautiful when open. However, it remained closed for most of our nearly three-hour meal, leaving the room feeling stuffy with stagnant air. It was only opened towards the very end, by which point it made little difference to the overall experience. Ultimately, this meal felt like a complete waste of both time and money. I left wondering not what I had enjoyed, but how this restaurant earned—and continues to hold—two Michelin stars. Aside from the desserts and the potential beauty of the venue when the roof is open, I found very little to recommend. I’ve had exceptional experiences at Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, so my expectations were high. Restaurant Facil fell dramatically short of them.
