Beware of being called a thief when you leave with a 1/2 full bottle of wine! Despite the fact that you have already paid for it, along with your meal + great tip!
We were chased by a security guard, having been stopped by three staff members as we were leaving. They told us to "step back inside for a chat"! It was truly awful. I (along with my guest) were being accused of something? What exactly?
We still have no idea why?
Anyhow, the good news is that we "escaped", along with our 1/2 bottle of wine, although we did hide out for a bit

Great to have Franks as our local bar/restaurant as we are in Strand. Really looking forward to seeing Rodney and the Gang when we return for our annual 3 month visit. Great music, sport tv and food and great drink offers. Cannot wait. John and Jacquie Williams.

Great place for breakfast, lunch or supper. Service was amazing! Thank you to our waitress who was extremely attentive and catered well to our needs. The beer was fresh, the food tasted amazing and the views were breathtaking. First time date? Great choice! Children friendly with a driving range on site. A lovely getaway in the cape region. It's got that Country/ City mix vibes. Expect to pay around R150 -R200 for a meal and drinks range from R40- R100 depending on what you're drinking. They have Monday -Wednesday specials on food and drinks and awesome double brandy/vodka/gin specials Thursday through Sunday. Generous portions and beautiful modern setting, Fancy Frank's Somerset West is a must visit for those looking for a beautiful scenery and great food.
