This restaurant has just changed ownership. It’s now called The Tartan Rooster. Chef and staff are the same and the menu is largely unchanged. Still good!

Great wee place. Comfy couch area to sit and enjoy pre meal drinks. The food was fab, halloumi fries followed by steak pie. The other half had mixed pakora then a burger. All delicious. Staff friendly, helpful and just the right amount of attentive. Def be back.

Food was absolutely 5/5, however service was pretty bad. Got the wrong main, then after asked weather we wanted ice with drink and saying no, still got ice in. Also from the get go set up was odd. When you first come in you get seated in little waiting area (on comfy couches) by the bar, that's also where they took our order (assumed it was busy so fair enough), but then we got got taken to the table when food was ready despite there being number of free tables. Felt like a ploy to get you to buy more drinks.
