we attended a family 60th last night and from the word go we wish we could have walked straight back out????, we were told that there was no carvery as they had ran out, it was 7pm peak evening meal time!!!! and forgive me if I'm wrong but is that not what farmhouse inns are know for? you can go to any old pub and get "pub food" then we were told that we couldn't have there "go large" drinks as they didn't have any glasses!!! then we were told that if we ordered all our food to one table number they would bring all the food out together BIG MISTAKE!! but I'll comeback to that later, we did as they said and ordered all together the food come out about 50 mins later and in dribs and drabs leaving a lot of us with that awkward situation were you feel guilty because your stuffing your face while the person next to you is salivating. Now once we had all finally finished our food we were discussing the proceedings and we agreed that not once during the meal were any of us asked if our food was ok, so we decided to take them up on there promise of,
"if we don't ask you how your meal is we give you free slice of cake"
hahaha what a joke we were told that because we all ordered on one table number (as we were told to) we could only have 2 slices of cake !!!
So thank you holly tree farm for absolutely nothing other than casting a horrible black cloud on our otherwise joyous occasion. needless to say we will not be using your establishment again.
