I was so sad to pull up to the restaurant last night and see the building for lease! It was one of my favorite places in Fresno and I was going to celebrate a happy occasion. Will also have to think of another place to cater my party now too, I was set on Fasika. So long to the best food and customer service in Fresno. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Beg TIBS

Worst experience I had here. Although the gentleman was nice, they took too long to help us, we waited 30 minutes before we were greeted. When we said we we're ready to order the food, he said we don't have much so I will just make something really good for you. Fasika is an Ethiopian word, the food was no where near Ethiopian. We received a bunch of potatoes and other vegetables that had no flavor at all. As a matter of fact it was not Ethiopian, it was a mixture of something else. The injera was rubbery, thick and a little soggy. The meat dish also tasted like a combination of Kenya and a little Ethiopian. Then he had the nerve to charge us $54, at the end since he made what he had in the kitchen we should of received some type of consolation, a discount or something.....as an Ethiopian, it is deeply upsetting that this establishment is claiming to serve that has no remnants of where I am from.... Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Without question, a deliciously authentic Ethiopian Food experience. The owner is so friendly and outgoing and seems to truly want all of his guests to have a rock-star dining experience. The Injera is out of this world. I had the Lamb-meat Wat dish and it was to die for. I also had a delicious small pot of Ethiopian coffee that still haunts me to this day because it was so delicious and interesting. Initial service was a bit slow, but hey -- this food is not easy to make and it was well worth the wait. Get down to Fasika Ethiopian Restaurant, but bring a hearty appetite! A strong 4 out of 5 all the way, all day long!
