This off-the-beaten-path BBQ spot is absolutely worth the drive — and it’s no wonder they won Best in the State 2025! The food here is real-deal, old-fashioned smoked meat BBQ at its finest — melt-in-your-mouth brisket, tender pulled pork, perfectly seasoned pork ribs, juicy chicken, and smoky sausage that hits all the right notes. But let me tell you the fluffy jalapeño cornbread and potato salad are the unsung heroes. Honestly, they might even beat grandma’s (sorry, Grandma!). And don’t sleep on the sweet tea and strawberry tea — Ooh-Wee! They’re brewed fresh and hit the spot. Owner Ray is one of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. Talking with him and hearing his story makes you appreciate the food even more — you can taste the love and care that goes into every plate. Just a heads up: if you’re planning to visit on a Saturday, go early! Once the BBQ is gone for the day, it’s gone. We were so blessed to stumble across this gem, and we’ll absolutely be back.
