Being a vegetarian can have its challenges when it comes to dining out, but on this occasion, it was an experience I won't forget. I was with a group on a set menu, and the starter was Bruschetta (€12.00): Heirloom Tomato, Basil Crudo, Buffalo Mozzarella, and Grilled Sourdough (V). The base was so hard that it couldn't be cut with a knife. When I brought this to the attention of the manager and asked if this was normal, he said it was. He described how the base was prepared by grilling and then finishing it in the oven; however, the menu description made no mention of this baking process. My main course was the Spinach & Ricotta Tortellini Au Gratin (€24.00) with Gorgonzola Cream and Sundried Tomato. It had that translucent look typical of pasta left too long in a microwave. The sauce had adhered to the side of the bowl, and even then, the dish was barely lukewarm. Reluctantly, I once again called the manager over to ask if he would eat a dish that looked like that. He simply replied, "I have it every day," and walked away. The dessert, Tiramisù Classico (€10.00) with Espresso-Soaked Savoiardi, Mascarpone, and Cocoa, was thankfully fine. However, I paid the same as my companions (€66.00), yet my main course resembled a side dish in comparison to theirs. My dining companions, who were all meat-eaters, were shocked by what I was served and even offered me their side of chips to help bulk up the meal. My dining club eats out at least once a month, and this was the worst experience I have ever had; both the quality of the food and the service were appalling. By the way, do you think vegetarians don't eat? The portion size of the main was incredibly small, resembling a side dish rather than a full meal. If you are a Vegetarian l would not recommend this restaurant. Price per person: €60–70 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Vegetarian options: Very poor. Not recommended

I had breakfast in Fawn with a group a little while ago, and it was really very good. I had the Continental breakfast for €23 euro. The quality was very good, kind of hard to believe good. I ate a ridiculous amount of gorgeous parma ham, fruit and yoghurt with toppings, fried eggs, sausages, scrambled eggs (which were the best I've ever had in a buffet situation) and about 3 cups of coffee and 4 mini chocolate croissants. I definitely had more than €40 worth! All cutlery and delph were clean. Staff were all very happy, helpful and cared about their jobs. Lastly, it is a nice place to be, quite a nice environment to be in. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone - Big time!
