You can only enter Fearless Fire Company's basement restaurant area as or with a member. The décor is like a 70s' finished basement, so it very casual. The menu is basically standard bar food. There are regular specials during the week such as tacos on Tuesdays, but Fridays and Saturdays have rotating dinner specials. I usually try one of the weekend specials. The grilled sea scallops wrapped in bacon (I'm from New England and impressed that the scallops were perfectly done), and the chicken-fried steak dinners are my favorites so far. Dinners come with a choice of 2 sides and are in the $10-$19 range. My husband always enjoys the 9 inch cheesesteaks ($5.50) and fresh cut French fries ($2). The wait staff is friendly and prompt. Drinks must be purchased at the bar, I don't know why, but a round of soda and a whisky and soda is $2.25! Food and drinks are very reasonably priced and portions are ample. Smoking is allowed at the bar and the dining tables are in the same area. Ventilation is good, but some people may be more sensitive than I am. Membership was $20 as a first-timer, and $12 to renew. Good eats on the cheap!
