The restaurant sits on the second floor of a building facing the river. You can dine out on the balcony while watching the water flow by. It’s a bit too chilly for me, but since the Christmas lights along the river were switched on today, some groups still chose to sit outside, wrapped up and enjoying the view. The selection of wines by the glass is impressive—plenty to choose from and fun to explore. I started with an octopus and avocado marinated in wasabi soy sauce, followed by figs with fromage blanc, salmon carpaccio, and shiitake mushrooms stuffed with minced meat. For the finale, I had grilled Wagyu shintama (knuckle) paired with a glass of Pinot Gris. Every dish was delicious and reasonably priced. At some point, I realized I was the only male customer—the rest were all women, mostly on the younger side. Still, it’s definitely a place where even a middle-aged man can have a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥7,000–8,000 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
