Filomena’s delivers an authentic Italian experience from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with beautiful Italian-inspired decorations, soft comfortable lighting, and cozy tables, chairs, and booths that make you feel right at home. Our server, Nico, was outstanding! He offered excellent recommendations on both food and wine, and delivered service that was professional, prompt, and genuinely delightful. We arrived as strangers but left feeling like family — that’s the magic of Filomena’s. I highly recommend Filomena’s for truly authentic Italian cuisine. Be sure to stop by their store afterward to bring home fresh pasta and other wonderful Italian specialties. You won’t regret it! Not only is this place a testament to tradition, but also Italian-American enthusiasm for both Italy and especially this country. We went during the Freedom 250 in June of 2026. They were so decked out with Americana and patriotic regalia that it was inspiring. Despite being jam-packed with patrons there was an efficiency and a professionalism about this staff that made every drink, every appetizer, and every meal come out promptly, right on through to desserts and the complimentary sambuca and amaretto at the end. The place makes you miss it before you leave and want to expose others to its excellence. The place is an institution. I suspect it'll be here for a good long time. Well done! Filomena Ristorante in Georgetown delivered exactly what I wanted. I stopped in for cake only, got it to-go, and it was legitimately very good—rich, fresh, and worth the visit by itself. The atmosphere inside is classic Filomena: warm, over-the-top in a charming way, and buzzing with energy. Parking can be a headache in that area, but the location is prime, and it’s an easy stop if you’re already in Georgetown. Overall, great dessert experience and I’d go back just for the pastries alone.
