A MICHELIN star: cuisine of great finesse. Worth the step!
Very good standard.

With stone walls, seasonal arrangements and Warhol-esque prints, this DC powerhouse is equal parts retro glitz and country lodge. Before even crossing the threshold, diners are met by gracious servers. While they may rhapsodize about their favorite dishes, take your time to peruse the menu, complete with stunning creations and playful twists... I’ll be honest—when I travel, I’m not just looking for food. I’m looking for moments I’ll remember. Little cinematic pauses in life where everything feels intentional. Fiola gave me exactly that. From the moment we walked in, it didn’t feel like we were at just another MICHELIN-starred restaurant. It felt like we had been invited into someone’s deeply personal world of memories, traditions, and indulgence. The evening began at the bar with a warm aperitif, and that simple gesture set the tone. Every course after that felt like opening a love letter sealed with heritage and heart. We went for the 9-course tasting menu—and I highly recommend it if you want to fully surrender to the chef’s vision. From the seared scallop that practically whispered citrus and spice on the tongue, to the delicate seafood pasta and melt-in-your-mouth lamb ravioli, each bite felt like a story told through texture, temperature, and timing. I’ve done a lot of tasting menus, and this one was beautifully paced—not rushed, not dragging. Just right. What really elevated the night though was the intimate, joyful service. Our server, Tony, brought a quiet confidence and kindness that made us feel taken care of. When dessert came, they surprised me with a birthday plate and a handwritten card from the chef. That tiny detail hit harder than I expected. It didn’t feel performative—it felt real. The ambiance? Romantic, sophisticated, and warm. Perfect for anniversaries, birthdays, or the kind of night where you just want to slow down and remember how beautiful food can be. The background music was gentle, Italian, and unobtrusive. Conversations around us were soft. You could feel people were savoring. If you’re someone traveling to D.C. and hoping for more than just a fancy dinner—something emotional, transportive, and quietly luxurious—Fiola delivers. And for those who enjoy wrapping up the evening with a little more indulgence, Pull Up DC can bring you the perfect post-dinner elevation. Picture this: you’ve just finished nine beautiful courses, your palate is buzzing, you return to your hotel or Airbnb, and unwind with a premium hybrid strain that complements everything you just experienced. Chef’s kiss. Fiola isn’t just dinner. It’s a memory. I’d return in a heartbeat. I finally made it down to the first course. The piece of blueberry gelato is both so expensive and a bit less obnoxious. Once seated, a crisp on top of mousse found the experience quite expensive in terms of flavor.
