Jack Stack Barbecue - Freight House provides tasty vanilla ice cream, flija and triple brownies. It is cool to enjoy delicious draft beer, house wine or bourbon. Come to this place for great strawberry lemonade, ice tea or chocolate frappe.
A cozy place with a beautiful interior is all you need for a holiday with your family. The staff is said to be energetic here. This spot is notable for its fine service. You will appreciate reasonable prices. This bbq scored 4.6 in the Google rating system.

I stopped here on a cross country trip. I had the burnt ends and ribs. Kansas City is known for its BBQ but I've had much better burnt ends at Mission BBQ in Annapolis, MD and much better ribs at Damon's in State College PA. Jack Stack Barbecue - Freight House, is my favorite Kansas City BBQ spot and that's saying something as I've had some delicious BBQ in that awesome city. I was a little surprised to find out that this spot is a chain restaurant but don't hold that against them, they are absolutely delicious! For our main courses, my friends and I had the Prime Beef Rib, Baby Back Ribs, and Burnt Beef Ends. We decided to compliment our meats with the BBQ Shrimp and Fries. And for our sides we went with Onion Rings, Loaded Baked Potato, Hickory Pit Beans, and Cheesy Corn Bake. Everything we feasted on this visit was absolutely amazing! Prime Beef Rib fell right off the bone, ribs were cooked to perfection, and my Burnt Beef Ends were the highlight of the meats! Although the biggest surprise of the entire meal was how amazing Cheesy Corn Bake. I honestly didn't even want to try it but I'm so glad I did and that my friends ordered it. Legit, it was the best part of the meal. Service was amazing. Our server never let our drinks get below a quarter empty. I will make it a point to stop by here on my future KCMO visits because it's worth every calorie.
