every once in a while I get a loaf of Firebrand bread as a substitution when ordering groceries online. Every time the crust is burned an is not really edible. Given the fact this is consistent I can only assume this is by design and there are people out there that like burned bread...

Best bread in the U.S. German Rye and Raisin Fennel Baguette are out of this world .. full of flavor and texture. Lemon Tart for dessert is excellent. Must try if you like bread.

(Not closed, my girlfriend and I went there this morning, and it was amazing!). Everything about this bakery is 5 stars. The food is fresh and never stale. There is a wide spectrum of baked goods, ranging from sweet, to just bread, to savory. The price is nice too. Averages around 4 bucks an item, unless you buy a loaf of bread. The ambiance is great. Wide open seating with lots of Windows. Smells like fresh bread, and you can actually see the bread making process as it is set up right behind the counter. The bakers are great too. Lively if you feel like a conversation, and right too it if you just want to get your stuff and go. Although their stuff is great, my favorite was the bread pudding. I wanted to just let it melt in my mouth! May not be for everyone, but it is inviting, fairly affordable, unique, and tasty!
