So excited that my hometown BBQ royalty restaurant is also here in the central valley! I had no idea Dog House was the equivalent of Firestone & Main Street Grill on the coast.This location here in Fresno is pretty good, but not as good as the OG Firestone in San Luis Obispo. The tri-tip sandwiches here are a bit overcooked compared to the typical ones at the coastal locations (meat well-done instead of medium and bread a bit burnt instead of a light golden color).I will say though that this location's fries are better than the coastal ones lately. The staff here in Fresno are also very kind and welcoming whereas the SLO management/staffing these days aren't as personable with customers as they used to be back in the day.The Fresno restaurant itself is much smaller than the other locations, but the energy here is good and they still have a small outdoor dining patio as well. The food comes out super fast and fresh which is always great.Can't wait to come back now that I know I've got this treasure right in my new backyard!
