Bought a $13 personal pizza for my son before we went to New York. Went back and asked for ranch dressing on the side and they wanted to charge me 89 cents.

This is just one of those fast food convenient places in the SFO international terminal. Did you know that different restaurants populate the wings of the international terminal? Frankly, I prefer the Japanese option in the United wing, but for the British Airway wing, there is Firewood Grill along with a few other westernized options to keep your hunger at bay. The Firewood Grill has a few combinations of food including Bourdon's sourdough bread bowl and sandwiches and other types of mixed baked pizzas. We personally went for some avocado toast and the crab melt. The crab melt itself is decent with plenty of crabs in the sandwich. But I would not order the avocado toast again. It is frankly a waste of money with just some avocado smothered on a piece of toast literally. Again, this place is not meant to wow you with their culinary offerings but only offer a place to keep your hunger in check.

Firewood is a casual place known for roasted chicken, pasta, and salad. Menu is limited. Order at the cashier, then sit down. Make sure to ask for free olives. Portions are big and prices are decent. Great for groups. Service is always good, and food is consistently good. I would recommend the roasted chicken.

Best for lunch or dinner.
