Just the best in Croydon so far. The lunchtime queue tells you all you need to know. Rice and peas, veg, 3 big bits of chick, six quid. Plantain, stew, all that. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: You can get just the rice and some plantain and veg. It's good.

I arrived at work this morning and all I could think about was when I could go for lunch and get myself some Jerk Pork from First Jerk. It got to 11:30 and I couldn't wait any longer, so decided it was time... The food from this stall is outstanding and it's served up by one of the nicest couples you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. Great value too, my Jerk Pork with Rice and Peas, a bit of veg and a bit of Plantain cost me £7.00 and I'm still full now at half six. Ignore the other Caribbean food places in Croydon and head straight here, just don't get there before me so I get mine first! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Curried Mutton, Jerk Chicken, Rice and Peas Plain Rice, Steamed Vegetables, Jerk Pork
