3/5 stars I give First Watch 3/5 because I did eat the food and it was fine. However the menu at this place sounds fancy and a little pretentious. There aren’t many “traditional” breakfast options and most everything has some kind of flair or fancy ingredient included for marketing. For example, rather than a ham and cheese omelette with American, cheddar, etc it’s “ham and Gruyere” That’s fine the problem is the food served doesn’t live up to the ambiance the menu is trying to sell you. My “ham and Gruyère” omelette was a thin pancake of dry unseasoned eggs (texture of eggs from a carton) folded over some sliced lunch meat with a slice of cheese melted on top (still in its perfect square shape) The prices were reasonable and service was fantastic, but the food was disappointing.
