Very rustic place, South Tyrolean as it should be. Well-garnished and well-cooked dishes, in a classic menu of local dishes. It's a shame, despite the name and the fish that set the scene for the place, there is no offer of lake fish on the menu which, among other things, is just a few steps away from the place... who knows why I expected it... Whenever we go on holiday in Kaltern, we eat in the Fischerkeller at least every other evening. The food is South Tyrolean, home-style and super tasty!! The owner and his team are in a good mood, very quick and make everything possible, even if you haven't reserved a table (but you should do better). The dumplings are super delicious, the goulash is amazing! But the carpaccio is also unparalleled. Price-performance is very important here. The large tables are also interesting; here you can quickly get into conversation with other guests. In summer it's also nice to sit outside in the garden! We would like to have a restaurant like this in our home country.
