We were quite surprised by how relaxed this bar was. We were drawn in by the intriguing sign outside. The cocktails are excellent, and they also have bar snacks. The idea of having fish in a bar is quite unique and makes for a great night out. The barman and his apprentice were friendly. There is cover charge here as well. This is clearly mentioned before you enter the bar.. Price per person: ¥4,000–5,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I went here for a drink one evening and was shocked to find the conditions that some of the fish were kept in. The smaller fish were fine, they had large enough tanks with some greenery and rocks to hide but the large fish and particularly the turtle were kept in unacceptable tanks. So tiny that they could not swim around and there was not even a plant for them to explore. I would not come back here and I would urge others to avoid until they rethink the conditions of the animals.

Lovely bar in Central Kyoto. Staff were wonderful and cocktails even more so (if possible). Fish are gorgeous and well taken care of. I even got to feed the Arowana!! Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
