What a nightmare BEWARE, Single ladies dining here. You will be ignored at the bar, and then insulted by patrons and the staff does not care, nor does the manager. I came here at 4:45 PM on a Sunday afternoon to have a nice outdoor meal. By myself, I didn’t want to take up a whole large table so I sat at the bar. There was a man two seats smoking a cigar, I should’ve left then but I did not. I ordered a glass of champagne and dinner. 45 minutes later, the smoking continued getting worse as he continued to blow it right down in my direction. . I couldn’t take the smell any longer, so I got my food to go and brought my glass of champagne to bring inside to finish. As I walked by, I had to wave my hand to get through the cloud of smoke. The man looked at me and loudly shouted so everybody in the area could hear I guess you’re a spitter. As I went inside another diner thought that was deplorable that somebody would speak to me like that. I decided to tell the manager, but it fell on deaf ears. He said they sell cigars and it’s perfectly fine to smoke, I said I understood that, but is it allowed for another diner to insult me so crudely in front of everybody in the restaurant? he had no answer for that. So any single ladies that plan on dining here just know that you will be objected to crude comments and waves of cigar smoke and no one will care. It’s a free-for-all for the men. Quite astonishing for a restaurant that is supposed to be upscale. I travel for my job and eat alone often and have never had anybody speak to me this way. Once again we were amazed at the service and quality of our dinner last night. We highly recommend Fishbones and will make it a point to return often! THANKS Fishbones!!
