After enjoying Bremond Block, go to this bar which is not far away. Come here for good deviled eggs, fried prawns and pork chops if you are hungry. That's a nice idea to order tasty biscuits, pecan pie and beignets. Most people have noticed that you can drink delicious house wine, bourbon or coffee martini at Fixe Southern House. In accordance with the guests' opinions, waiters offer great red tea, ice tea or chocolate frappe.
Food delivery is a big plus of this place. The positive aspect of this spot is that the staff is courteous. Fast service is something guests agree upon here. We had high hopes for Fixe Southern House, but unfortunately, it was a major letdown. While the meal started with a decent deviled egg, the rest of the experience was poor. The atmosphere was dark, so much so that even our teenager had to use a phone flashlight just to read the menu. When the food arrived, the quality simply wasn't there. The fried green tomatoes were heavily overbreaded and greasy to the point where we could not finish them. The fried chicken lacked any real flavor, and the spicy honey had no heat. Even worse, the seafood in the pot pie was so severely overcooked that it was inedible. To make matters worse, the service was frustrating. Our server disappeared for long periods throughout the evening. By the end of the meal, the rest of my family had to go outside because the food had left them feeling queasy, leaving me to track someone down just so we could pay the bill. We had planned on having dessert, but after such a disappointing meal, we opted to leave immediately. We will not be returning, and I would recommend looking elsewhere for a meal.
